(Video) Watch: The moment when Alison and Henderson exchange angry words during Liverpool’s game against Chelsea.
Liverpool were held to a draw by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight, the second time the scoreline has come in the Premier League this season, which will not be long remembered.
However, a largely uneventful contest saw the touch paper ignite briefly as Reds teammates Jordan Henderson and Alison Becker exchanged angry words during the second half.
The duo argued angrily with each other in the 76th minute, shortly after Joel Matip’s unconvincing clearance presented Joao Felix with a goal-scoring chance for the Blues, only for him to fire over the crossbar (Sky Sports).
Henderson was unhappy with Alison’s involvement in the game and let the Brazilian know as much when Ali was promoted to number 14 as they both shared their views.
An argument between Henderson and Allison even led to a brief shoving of shoulders before play resumed and eventually ended in a goalless draw.
Fortunately, it didn’t end after a brief exchange of words. As it is common to see teammates shouting at each other in football, they will no doubt be quick to put the incident behind them and turn their attention to the Arsenal game on Sunday.
Dear Captain. Leveling up with the one player who kept us from relegation this season ❤️❤️pic.twitter.com/3lIOXuxrzL
