Twitch CEO Emmett Shear is resigning

Shiri will replace Dan Clancy, who has been with Twitch for more than three years and served as the company’s president. Clancy was originally hired in 2019 as the company’s executive vice president of creator and community experience, according to Variety.

“With my first child just born, I’ve been thinking about my future with Twitch,” Shear wrote. “Twitch often feels like the kid I raised too. And while I’ll always want to be there if Twitch needs me, at 16 I feel like Twitch is ready to move out of the house and go it alone. He will continue in an advisory capacity with the company.
