What was your starting weight? 242 pounds
What is your current weight? 179.2 pounds
How did you maintain your weight loss/continue to lose weight?
I don’t believe in total restriction, so I focus on flexible diets. I have specific amounts (grams) of protein, carbs, and fat that I aim to increase each day. It keeps me from getting bored and allows me to enjoy things so I don’t end up drinking :). I also get 8,000-12,000 steps a day and weight train three times a week.
What are some of the lessons you’ve learned on your journey that stand out the most right now?
Find things that WORK FOR YOU. Make it fun! Push yourself. There is none one size fits all when it comes to fitness travel/lifestyle.
Do you have any new or different advice for women looking to lose weight?
Same as above! Try different workouts and create a plan based on what works for you.
Weight training is your best friend if you want to trim your waistline and create an hourglass figure. Also, make sure you’re getting at least 125 grams of protein a day if you want to see that muscle work.
