Things to do at Habarana Retreat

Habarana, a picturesque small town in Sri Lanka’s Anuradhapura district, is an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle and rejuvenate yourself. You can easily access some of the island’s most popular attractions during your trip, which may be in your top three.

Pidurangala rock

Pidurangala has recently become a travel sensation for its lush greenery and enchanting views of the Lion Rock. The climb is not as strenuous as Sigiriya and when you reach the top, the view, the breeze and the sense of satisfaction is quite rewarding. You will also come across a reclining Buddha statue and some frescoes at the top of the cave temple. You can take a walk from your resort Cinnamon Lodge Habarana and reach the rock in about 25 minutes.

Sigiriya rock fortress

You can’t miss climbing Sigiriya, among others things to do in Habarana. Built in the 5th century, Sigiriya is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Architectural and artistic excellence is evident in the ruins, ponds, fountains and frescoes. The view from the top is to die for and the ruins are amazing to look at.
