Ciutadella Park
First on our list is the magnificent Ciutadella Park in the heart of the city. This park is the largest in the entire city and is therefore the perfect place to take some long and beautiful scenic walks. For many, Ciutadella Park is an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Lush green grass, phenomenal fountain, beautiful lake and interesting sights are just some of the factors that make a visit here so attractive.
Not only is the park worth exploring, but you’ll also find the Barcelona Zoo and the Catalan Parliament Chamber on site. What a good attitude!
Be sure to visit the park’s lake. Here you will be able to board a number of boats and enjoy the view from the water. There is plenty of wildlife to watch here, such as the many adorable ducks that inhabit the area.
Park Guell
Next on our list is certainly one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions. Park Güell has been an official UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, and no wonder. This magical garden was designed by the world famous Antoni Gaudi, none other than the architect of the iconic Sagrada Familia. Here you are sure to marvel at the winding walkways and vibrant mosaic tiles as you stroll through this magnificent green space.
Park Güell offers the best panoramic views of the city, from the mountains to the sea. This park is super unique and Gaudi’s influence is subtly left to reveal as you walk around. This park is absolutely not to be missed on your travels.
Note: this park is not free like Ciutadella Park. However, a visit to Park Güell is well worth the entrance fee as you can easily spend hours here checking out the hidden gems or following the secret paths. Alternatively, why not visit on a Sunday or Wednesday when entry is free? What’s not to love?

Parc del Laberint d’Horta
Located on the outskirts of the city in the peaceful Horta district, you’ll find the super romantic Parque del Laberin d’Horta. The main attraction of the park is its famous labyrinth, which was designed in 1891 by the Italian architect Domenico Bagutti. This labyrinth is quite large, with a beautiful pond in the center and a statue of the Greek god Eros.
Why not take the family with you for a fun day out? Get lost and find your way until your hearts content.
In addition to the maze, the park has several beautiful ponds, flowing streams, and tall trees that you can take in for yourself. It’s easy to spend a few hours here exploring all the beautiful surroundings.

Parc de Cervantes (Cervantes Park)

This brilliant green space in the Les Corts district is little known and therefore a great place to really relax if you’re looking for a more relaxing atmosphere away from all the tourists. Enjoy a picnic on the grounds or catch up with friends somewhere on the spacious grounds.
Pro tip: The best time to visit this garden is in the spring when its 10,000 rose bushes bloom in all their beauty. Not only do they look great though, take it from us, they smell even better!
