Napoli need a miracle to keep Victor Osimen fit for their Champions League quarter-final next leg against AC Milan next Wednesday.
The two Italian sides meet again next Wednesday in a UEFA Champions League clash following last weekend’s Serie A clash at the Maradona Stadium.
AC Milan outplayed their Italian rivals, going four ahead in the absence of Serie A champions-elect Victor Osihen.
Napoli were absolutely outclassed and it was clear that they are not the same in the absence of Victor Osimen as they missed out on all the qualities associated with the Nigerian forward.
Victor Osihen missed the clash with Nigeria with an international injury and is also ruled out of the Serie A clash against Lecce this Friday.
Napoli confirmed on Tuesday that their star striker underwent morning therapy at the club’s training center in Castel Volturno.
This means the 24-year-old will not be available against Lecce on Friday, when the Partenopei visit Lecce at the Via Del Mare Stadium, as he will be assessed on the same day.
According to SkySport, he could also miss his third game, the UEFA Champions League game against AC Milan on Wednesday March 12 at the San Siro.
Napoli correspondent Massimo Ugolini also told Footballitalia that the Partenopei “need a miracle” for the striker to return against the Rossoneri at the San Siro.
