RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg said he was in so much pain after the 7-0 defeat by Manchester City in the Champions League.
The Sky Blues advance to the quarterfinals with an 8-1 overall record.
However, the Swedish footballer stated that he felt really dissatisfied with the team’s performance.
“It hurts.
“I don’t want to make excuses. “Manchester City” is a great team and we had no chance. We have to be honest and accept this.”
Personal life
Emil Forsberg is the son of former GIF Sundsvall player Leif Forsberg and the grandson of Lennart Forsberg, who also played for GIF Sundsvall.
On July 17, 2016, Forsberg married Shanga Hussain, who is a former soccer player. The couple lives in Leipzig, having met for the first time in Sundsvall. They have a dog, Roffie, who is a Golden Retriever. They had their first child in August 2018.
Forsberg named Dutch winger Ryan Babel as a player he had his eye on.
