A SUPER-SIZED rat has been spotted running rampant through the streets of New York, with horrified viewers claiming it’s “the size of a DOG”.
TikTok footage captures the beast crossing the pavement as horrified onlookers rush to avoid its treacherous path.

In the horrifying video, a very large rat can be seen scurrying across the pavement and into the road with the caption ‘That guy was eating well’.
The sight of the furry rodent both horrified and amazed people. some ran away while others pulled out their cameras to capture a photo of the magnificent large rat.
The comments section was filled with users throwing out ideas about what the vermin specimen actually was.
One wrote: “It’s muskrat,” and the other suggested. “That’s a whole capybara.”
The third sounded. “It’s a Rottweiler.”
“Bro I thought it was clay,” wrote another.
New York City is no stranger to pests relentlessly taking over their sewers, gardens, subways and walls.
For over a century, the city has been waging an all-out war against its rat population, but the rats seem to be winning somehow.
The fast-breeding pests have survived successive mayoral campaigns to defeat them, as well as citizen-led rat-hunting organizations.
The Atlantic estimates that the rat population has now reached 2 million in 90 percent of the city.
Last month, one of the rats in New York City was caught on camera crawling over a sleeping passenger.
A skin-crawling scene included a rat climbing onto a sleeping man as he sat on his bench; no one was wiser than his new little friend.
The rat then climbs onto his shoulders to sit on the back of his neck as the man finally wakes up to his unpleasant surprise.
