Arsenal are planning a summer transfer for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Belgian sources.
The Gunners were considering a move for Onana during the January transfer window, but instead decided to complete a £12million deal for Jorginho.
Chelsea also targeted Onana in January, but the 21-year-old rejected a move to Stamford Bridge as he wanted to help Everton’s fight for Premier League survival.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, Arsenal have maintained their interest in Onana and have been in “constant contact” with the midfielder’s representatives ahead of the summer window.
The report says that Chelsea have also not given up on signing the Belgian footballer

Meanwhile, Everton are said to be willing to sell Onana at the end of the season but are holding out for a transfer fee of €70m (£61.3m).
Onana has made an impressive impact at Everton since his £33million move from Lille last August.
And Sean Dyche wants the midfielder to develop in both defensive and attacking areas before the end of Everton’s season.
“It’s good for his development,” Dyche said.
“I talked to him about playing different roles in the midfield. At Lille he played in both. He lied deeply and now number 8 for us.
“I want a young player like him to know all the roles of different playing styles. Maybe by the time they’re 28 they can be out and about.
“Sometimes the world of modern football is too individualized. you’re just going to be that player and sometimes that can hold back a player’s career. Sometimes it gets in their head. I think “hang on, you have more to offer than just doing this.”
