145 SEC track and field athletes earn All-American honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 14, 2023)—–145 Southeastern Conference track and field student-athletes earned NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field All-America honors, according to a statement from the US Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Athletes from member institutions who finished in the top 8 and those who finished 9th through 16th individually and as a team at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. relay that earned Second Team All-American honors. The rest of the athletes received an honorary title.

SEC student-athletes have earned a total of 189 All-America honors and 133 first-team honors.

The Arkansas men’s and women’s teams won NCAA titles this past weekend in Albuquerque, NM. It was the first round of the men’s and women’s championships since 2016. Arkansas was first with 63 points, followed by Georgia with 40 and Florida with 34. Alabama is also in the top 10 at No. 9. In the women’s standings, Florida was third with 45 points and Georgia was fifth with 31. Alabama and Tennessee tied for seventh, while Ole Miss was 10th.
